Hi, I’m Angela! I’m a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, and I love helping people better understand themselves, work through what’s holding them back, and create meaningful changes in their lives.
Many of the people I work with are navigating:
-
Anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed
-
Perfectionism, people-pleasing, and self-criticism
-
Relationship challenges and difficulty setting boundaries
-
Life transitions, identity changes, and grief
-
Low self-worth, shame, or self-doubt
-
Religious harm, religious trauma, or faith transitions
-
A desire to better understand themselves and create meaningful change
My approach is compassionate, curious, and collaborative. I’m interested in helping you understand not just what you’re experiencing, but why. Together, we can explore the patterns that keep showing up, the emotions that are difficult to make sense of, and the experiences that have shaped how you see yourself and the world around you.
One of my favourite parts of counselling is helping people connect the dots between different pieces of their experiences. Sometimes, understanding why we feel or respond the way we do can change how we see ourselves and open up new possibilities for growth and change.
I believe counselling should be as individual as the person coming through the door. I draw on approaches including parts work, EFT, EMDR, and attachment-based perspectives, depending on what feels most helpful for you.
I also support people recovering from religious harm or religious trauma. Whether you’re questioning long-held beliefs, navigating a faith transition, or trying to make sense of painful religious experiences, I offer religious trauma counselling that respects your individual beliefs. You don’t have to leave your faith or come to any particular conclusion to work with me.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. You don’t need to fit into a tidy category, either. Sometimes simply wanting to understand yourself better, work through difficult experiences, or feel more connected to who you are is reason enough to begin.
I offer in-person counselling in Kelowna and online counselling throughout BC.
